1. General Terms
  • RentItMy acts as a platform facilitator only (not the owner of items).
  • All rental agreements are strictly between Owner (Lender) and Renter (Borrower).
  1. Listing Requirements (For Owners)
  • Owners must provide accurate descriptions, photos, and conditions of the item/property.
  • All items must be legal to rent in Malaysia (no weapons, drugs, counterfeit, etc.).
  • Owners set their own rental price, deposit amount, and rental duration.
  1. Booking & Payment
  • RentItMy platform does not provide any payment gateway through this platform (yet).
  • Payment are direct between renter and rentee.
  1. Rental Period
  • Rental duration starts from the agreed pickup/delivery time until the return time.
  1. Deposits & Damages
  • Owners may set a refundable deposit.
  • If item is returned damaged, lost, or stolen:
    • Deposit will be withheld until claim is resolved.
    • RentItMy may mediate disputes but final liability rests with renter.
  • Owners encouraged to take photos/videos before & after handover as proof.
  1. Responsibilities of Renter
  • Must handle the item/property with reasonable care.
  • Must return on time in the same condition received.
  • Must not sub-rent, misuse, or use for illegal purposes.
  1. Platform Rights
  • RentItMy reserves the right to suspend accounts for violations.
  • Platform is not liable for disputes, but provides dispute resolution support.
  • Platform may charge a service fee (e.g., 5–10%) per transaction upon enabling payment gateway through the website
  1. Insurance & Protection (Optional)
  • You can explore partnering with insurers for item protection (extra trust).
  • Example: Coverage for damage/loss above deposit amount.
  1. Dispute Resolution
  • First: Negotiation between owner & renter via platform chat.
  • If unresolved: Escalation to support@rentitmy.net for mediation.
  • Final: If still unresolved → parties may proceed legally, RentItMy provides evidence logs.
