Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

What kind of items can I rent out?

You can rent out tools, electronics, furniture, sports gear, event supplies, or any item that is safe and in good working condition.

Why rent instead of selling unused items?

Renting creates recurring income while keeping ownership. You can still use your item when it’s not rented out.

Earnings & Pricing

How much can I earn by renting my items?
Earnings depend on item type and demand. For example: a camera can earn RM80–150/day, while a drill may earn RM20–40/day.
How do I decide rental price?
Benchmark against other listings. A common guideline is 5–10% of retail price per day. Offer discounts for longer rentals (weekly/monthly).

Safety & Protection

Is it safe to rent out my belongings?
Yes, as long as you set clear rental terms. You can request a deposit upfront, check renter details, and document your item’s condition before handing it over.
What if my item is damaged or not returned?

We recommend:

-Collecting a refundable security deposit.

-Taking photos/videos of your item before renting.

-Having a simple written rental agreement for high-value items.

-Agreeing on compensation upfront.

Process & Convenience

How do I handle payment since there’s no payment gateway?
Payment is made directly between renter and rentee (cash, bank transfer, e-wallet). You are free to decide your preferred method.
Do I need to meet renters in person?

Not always. You can arrange:

-Self-pickup/drop-off,

-Delivery for a fee,

-Courier for smaller items.

Can I rent out items while still using them?
Yes. Simply mark the dates your item is unavailable.

Payments & Legal

Is the platform responsible for payments?
No, all payments are directly handled between renter and rentee. The platform connects both parties but does not process transactions.
Do I need a business license to rent out my items?
Not if you’re casually renting. For larger operations, registering with SSM is recommended for credibility and legal protection.
